When will this domino fall?

By John Thornton- For most NFL players, this is a bad time to be a free agent.  The young and talented players were hit with the Restricted Free Agent tag, meaning that if another team signed them, the original team can match the deal or be owed compensation in the form [...]

C’mon Big Ben

March 7th, 2010 NFL, Personal

When I heard that Steelers QB Big Ben was hit with another sexual assault charge, I thought to myself, “What the hell is he doing?”  Not because I think he is guilty this time, or the last time for that matter, but he has to be a little more careful when he is out on [...]

March 3rd, 2010 NFL, Personal

I know some of you have been asking where I’ve been hiding, but I’m here.  It’s been a crazy few weeks.  I went to the NFL Combine last week on partly on assignment for 700WLW and partly for business purposes.  Of course my partner Charles Fisher was with me.  I spent most of the day [...]

  • Brian P: I don't see the Bengals drafting a receiver until the 3rd unless the value is too great in the 2nd round (i.e. someone falls).
  • Ron E: You figure the Bengals keep 5 WR, and have Ochocinco, Bryant, Caldwell, Cosby, Jones, Simpson, Brown. With Jones, Simpson, and Brown all being long sh
