APB coming back this weekend

July 29th, 2009 | Bengals, NFL, Personal

It’s been a long time since I have blogged on Allproblogger.  A lot has happened in the past month or so.  But I’m excited to be back talking football and more.  There will be plenty of things to discuss since all NFL teams will be in camp by the end of this weekend.  I almost forgot my password to get back in here, it’s been that long!  Anyway, lots to discuss.  I’m planning on heading to Georgetown, KY this Saturday to watch the Bengals practice(if they let me in).  Should be fun.  I hear the morning practice on Saturday will be the first in shoulder pads.  Sunday at 3pm is the first full pads practice.

GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!!!!! I missed your unique take on the league.

There are several things I would love to know.

1. Are you going to be playing this year at all?
2. What are you thoughts on Twitter and the NFL players using it? Will it come back and hurt them at some point in time? I know Chad OchoCinco was talking about sending tweets during half time.
3. What are you thoughts on Michael Vick can be really play again in the league?

Welcome back!
I look forward to and am interested in your take on how different guys are doing in camp, how the OL is gelling, who has the edge in position battles, and updates on the guys who are coming back from injury since they sometimes get left out.
Also how different the offense and defense look from last year.

Will do. I will give an honest opinion like I always do. But remember, the preseason is full of fluff. The roster battles will play out quickly

Ok I will touch on those. I think players will use social media as long as they and the team are doing well. If the team is losing, they will stay away. Fans are brutal when u lose. That my opinion

Lots was going on, but I took a vacation from blogging when the offseason got boring. So I’m recharged. Ready to resume talking football, entertainment, technology…..my 1 to 10 list. Should be fun. Thanks for checking in

Will the Bengals be allowing cell phones and other devises at camp? I ask because the Denver camp according to their web site is not allowing any. Food for Blog thaught..

Why is there no news about contract talks with Andre Smith, is there really no info leaked? Could this be a good sign or a bad one?

2 Jason Smith (OT) – SIGNED by Rams
5 Mark Sanchez -SIGNED by Jets
6 Andre Smith – UNSIGNED
7 Darrius Heyward-Bey – SIGNED by Raiders

Andre is now slotted, there may be some wiggle room with Keels looking for something closer to Sanchez and the Bengals looking closer to DHB. There should be a slight drop off for outside the top 5, plus QBs get more than RTs, take the % drop from #1 Stafford to #2 Smith, and apply it to #5 Sanchez and #6 Smith and I think you have the basic numbers.

Glad to have you back. When you have a draft pick that has both guys around him signed…..what is usually the hang-up…..is is 10′s, 100′s of thousands of $ or is it things like incentives, signing bonus…..can you give us an inside into what conract negotioations are like.

  • M&M: JT, I am kind of glad TJ signed with the Ravens, this guy bad mouthed the Bengals on every network every chance he got. He didn't leave the Bengals o
  • Scott A: LOL - TJ talk does bring entertainment. I love, love TJ - if the Bengals wouldn't have grabbed Shipley I'd be ticked if they didn't bring him back to
  • Scott A: Just saw NFL Live - Chris Mortensen picks the Bengals to represent the AFC in the Superbowl. Losing to the Packers.
  • Scott A: On another topic - I really, really like the trade for Reggie Nelson.
  • JT: Yes he has. He's a very good interview when not talking to local media. Nobody challenges him on that here :)
