Sprint needs to come correct

Palm Pre
The Palm Pre is coming soon. This looks to be Sprint’s version of the Apple’s iPhone. I’m not a Sprint user right now, but I will look at the Palm Pre when it comes out. In my very humble opinion, every touch screen phone that has come out since the iPhone launched, has failed. The biggest disappointment to me so far has been the Blackberry Storm. I got that phone as a Christmas present to myself, and returned it before New Years Eve. I’m a Blackberry lover, but some phones are just meant to have keys and the Blackberry is one of them. Howard Stern has already put a dent into the Palm Pre this week when he choose the Blackberry Bold over the new Pre. Maybe that’s why Sprint has decided to move up their launch date to late May or possibly June. Anyway, check out the Pre, it looks pretty cool. But it better be able to replace the iPhone or they won’t get people, like me, from other carriers to leave their plans and come over to Sprint. Good luck Sprint, build it and I will come.

I think if you have never had a blackberry or iphone then the storm is pretty awesome.
I got it recently as I am attempting to become more of a professional and have had very good luck with it. The iphone no doubt kills it but AT&T service is pretty lousy if you ask me. I just don’t think you can beat verizon and most of us don’t want to carry two phones. I know there are ways to unlock iphones but I am not that savvy or have that type of time. I got over the no button issue pretty quickly.

I feel you on that. I am a phone snob. one of my only vices
I have had the blackberry since 05′. The Storm’s touchscreen is too hardfor me to use after using the iPhone. And I hate having to turn it sideways to get the full keyboard. That’s just me tho. I carry two phones, one for Biz and one for personal. Storm had some nice features

Have you tried out the Dare? I’ve had good luck with it, though like you I don’t like turning the phone sideways to use the full keypad. Though I have found that the regular keypad is very efficient if you know how to use the T9 word feature for texting. The big factor for me was the size. I love the fact that I can put it in my pocket and not feel like I’m carrying around and extra set of luggage.
