RB Derrick Ward to Cincy?

February 27th, 2009 | NFL

Just heard Derrick on Sirius NFL Radio saying that he is coming to Cincy for a visit. But he said he is going to keep his options open once he gets here. Said he told Bengals that he wants a Brandon Jacobs type deal and they still are bringing him in. Sounds like he is going to go to highest bidder. Said he looking to get paid. Let’s hope he is not using the team for leverage to get more money somewhere else.

Let’s hope for the best! Do you really think that he’s looking for the Brandon Jacobs figures? I know that Derrick is an outstanding RB, but in the same class as Brandon? Maybe close, but not quite the same. It would be quite an improvement for the Bengals over Ced. Don’t you think John?

I think he’s definitely using the Bengals to get more money. I would hope that he’s not doing that but that was my first assumption.
